It took a lot of patience and time, especially a lot of sharpie... But I got it done! It looks almost exactly like the original! Examples of CinemegraphsMy Cinemagraphs1.) What did you create? Why did you pick this subject over others? Does the subject have any specific meaning to you? For this project, I used photoshop to creat a cinemagraph. I picked the subject of pouring milk because it was the steadiest form of media. On a personal level, the piece was made because of my love for Special K's Vanilla Almond cereal with milk. 2.) What was difficult about this project? Is there anything you would recommend for someone in the future? The project was difficult for many reasons. Most of it was finding an action that was appealing enough to be recorded. After filming, the editing was even more painstaking. I eventually came to realize, after much frustration, that the file could be as small as two seconds and still effectively play in a loop. To do so, my classmate, James, suggested finding the most consistent portion of the video and using the paused frame as the base for the cinemagraph. Everything after that step involved making sure that the cinemagraph was consistent. For future students who do this project, I heavily advise them to use the simplest footage they can make. If they are up to the challenge, they can use a more difficult piece of media. 1.) What was the hardest rule to come up with an animation for? Why? 2.) What was the easiest? Why? 3.) What do you think of stop motion? (2 sentences or more) |
